DENVER, CO, UNITED STATES, September 30, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Behavioral Health Partners, a Denver-based addiction treatment marketing and consulting agency, announced the launch of its Generative Engine Optimization service following months of testing across AI search platforms. In internal before-and-after testing involving four client organizations, the company recorded an average increase of more than 60% in AI mentions after one month of work for each client.

The service is designed to help addiction treatment centers appear in relevant AI-generated answers with accurate information about their locations, services, clinical teams and credentials. Its launch addresses a different kind of treatment search: conversations in which people describe what is happening to someone they love and ask for guidance, rather than entering a short phrase into a search engine.

“A parent might type ‘drug rehab near me’ into Google. With AI, they may explain what they’re seeing in their son, describe the behaviors that worry them, and ask how to help,” said Adam Vibe Gunton, Founder and Managing Partner of Behavioral Health Partners. “When treatment is an appropriate next step, the information behind that recommendation needs to accurately reflect what a center does and who it can help.”

Testing Across Four AI Platforms

Behavioral Health Partners began testing its GEO approach in May 2026. The company observed its first substantial movement in July and continued to observe gains in August and September before announcing the service.

The testing compared responses to the same prompts before and after implementation across 12 configurations spanning ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. Configurations included different access levels and response modes, such as unsigned-in access where available and reasoning-focused modes.

According to the company, repeated testing showed participating centers appearing more frequently in responses relevant to their states, the services they provide and the credentials they hold. The reported average increase of more than 60% concerns AI mentions after each client’s first month of work. It does not represent an increase in admissions or patient outcomes.

The company is keeping participating client identities confidential.

A Seven-Step Approach to AI Search Visibility

Behavioral Health Partners’ generative engine optimization service combines website improvements, verifiable organizational information and work across external sources. Its seven-step process includes:

1. Building direct-answer content. Restructuring key pages to answer the questions people ask about treatment, programs, insurance and the admissions experience.

2. Implementing structured data. Adding schema markup that describes the organization, locations, services and people, alongside technical improvements that support access to website content.

3. Making credentials and clinical expertise visible. Clearly presenting staff roles, professional credentials, applicable licenses, accreditations and clinical review.

4. Reconciling listings and profiles. Addressing inconsistencies in information about a center across its website, business profiles and relevant directories.

5. Developing third-party citations. Building accurate references through relevant publications, directories, professional organizations and other external sources.

6. Applying proprietary off-page methods. Using a process involving citations, articles and website partnerships focused on relevant treatment questions and geographic markets.

7. Measuring results monthly. Repeating prompts, tracking mentions and citations, and reviewing how AI responses describe each center and its services.

The service extends the company’s existing search engine optimization work. It adds AI answer visibility and accuracy to the measures used to assess a treatment center’s online presence.

Connecting Visibility With the Right Message

Gunton’s experience in addiction recovery and treatment-center development informs the service’s focus on matching a center’s public message with the care it actually provides.

“Our goal is for someone who needs help to find the right treatment center, a place where they feel safe, welcome, and like they were meant to find it,” Gunton said. “We’ve worked to connect families with that message through Google. Now we’re bringing that same purpose to AI search.”

Gunton said treatment providers should begin evaluating their presence in AI answers now, including whether those answers accurately describe their programs and qualifications.

“This is still early, and treatment centers need to take it seriously,” he said. “The work starts with making sure these systems can find accurate, consistent information about who you are and the people you serve.”

Details about the service and its methodology are available on the Behavioral Health Partners website.
